Online Abstract Submission - 9th Annual NAALT Conference

All papers must be submitted online by December 1, 2008 and adhere to the instructions for authors.

Members of the North American Association for Laser Therapy and other individuals are invited to submit papers for consideration for presentation during the 9th Annual NAALT Conference in 2009. Presentations should be a maximum of 15 minutes in length.

Selection of papers will be made by the Abstract Review Committee in February 2009.

Key Points:

Authors are expected to disclose the nature of any financial interests they have with companies that manufacture or sell products that figure prominently in the submitted paper, or with companies that manufacture or sell competing products. (This includes ownership, employment, consultancy arrangements, or service as an officer or board member.)

Products and equipment must be identified by generic names or descriptions and footnoted.

Due to the complexity of the selection process, deadlines will be enforced.

NAALT will select papers to be presented at the conference, as well as posters.

Selected papers and posters will be printed in the 2009 NAALT Proceedings.

Authors or papers selected for presentation at the 2009 NAALT conference will receive complimentary registration.

Guidelines for Abstracts:

The title should be short and succinct; the body of the abstract should follow logically from the title. Abstracts should include four sections:

objective of the study;

methods and procedures used in the study;

results of the study; and

conclusions based on these results.

We will notify you by February 12, 2009 if your abstract has been accepted. Those whose abstracts are accepted for presentation at the conference will then need to provide no later than February 28, 2009:

a biography of yourself

a summary of your talk for use in the Conference Program

and the final complete abstract for distribution to attendees.
